As a current student in NAFA, Ama Law Wei Xuan is a well-rounded artist who is empathetic, patient and has the communication skills to work well in team settings, she is an articulate speaker who confidently addresses large crowds in a professional manner. In a previous job, Ama worked in a retail store and anticipated customers’ needs and provided them with high quality service while upholding brand standards and values to ensure customer satisfaction and although she struggles with being detail-oriented, along the years she has learned to be patient in her work and has applied it to different aspect of her life. She mainly uses traditional mediums for her art such as watercolor, but with the education NAFA has to offer, her goal is to be able to learn the necessary skills such as the use of photoshop and be able to produce high quality art using digital software in her 3 years at the school with the ultimate goal to be able to work in the gaming sector in the future with companies such as RIOT games and Electronic Arts. She aims to learn coding and 3d software ‘Blender’ to expand her skills in the following years too. Her achievements include being an o level graduate. as well as holding the position of vice president of her co curriculum; Chinese dance in secondary school in which she was involved in the Singapore youth festival and was awarded with an certificate of distinction allowing the school to have a three year winning streak. She was also part of the student leaders in her third year and organized the secondary one orientation where she had to sort out meals, game activities, school tour and how to integrate the newly joined student into the schools culture. Ama also attend weekly session of ballet and is almost finishing her vocational studies soon in the upcoming years proving her to be very committed and responsible person. In other words, these experiences allow her to be confident in the art scene and be comfortable in possible positions of a leader in future team projects.
